What NA is, and what to Expect

NA is a non-profit, non-professional fellowship of addicts helping addicts. It costs nothing to belong.  To connect with us, you may call us, email us, or simply attend a meeting. “Open” meetings welcome non-addicts who may attend and observe. “Closed” meetings are only for those who are there to address their own drug problem (designated O or C on our meeting listings). No particular level of participation is expected at meetings.  You may just sit and listen if you prefer.  We do recommend, however, that you introduce yourself when they ask whether anyone is new.  This will alert members to see if they can offer any support or information after the meeting.  You may choose to speak up when the  format of the particular meeting you’re attending allows for that, but you don’t have to.  That is entirely up to you.

Contacting Us

You may call the number at the bottom of this page, e-mail naCommunicationABQ@gmail.com, or attend either an in-person meeting or a virtual meeting on Zoom.  See “Find a Meeting” above to find one of our many daily meetings.  As our literature says, “We are not interested in what or how much you used or who your connections were, what you have done in the past, how much or how little you have, but only in what you want to do about your problem and how we can help.”
